Aesthetic Rhinoplasty

Overview

Aesthetic rhinoplasty changes the shape of the nose to suit the face: a hump on the bridge, a wide or drooping tip, asymmetry, or a nose that feels too large or too small. The aim is a natural result that fits your features, and a nose that still breathes well afterwards.

Aesthetic Rhinoplasty
Our approach to care

Your consultation includes standardised photographs, an examination of the outside of the nose and an endoscopic look inside. You and your surgeon agree what to change and what to leave alone.

Surgery is done under general anaesthetic, usually as a day case, using a closed or open approach depending on what needs to be done. Cartilage from the septum is used for support where needed.

After surgery you are seen at one week for splint removal, then at six weeks, six months and a year while the shape settles. Sun protection and avoiding glasses on the bridge for the first weeks protect the result.

Your first visit takes about 45 minutes: a conversation about what bothers you, an examination of the nose inside and out with a small endoscope, and standardised photographs. You leave with a clear explanation of what surgery can and cannot change, and time to decide.
