Biography

Dr. Jameel gained his MBBS qualification in medicine from King Khaled University in Abha, Saudi Arabia. He completed his training with the Saudi and Arab Board of Pediatrics and pursued higher studies with specialized training in advanced areas of neonatology at McMaster University in Canada. He began his consultant career focusing on congenital heart disease, respiratory issues, nutrition, and developmental/family-centered care of newborns.

Over his 12 years as a consultant, Dr. Jameel has consistently worked in multidisciplinary, tertiary hospital environments, leading teams of specialists in managing sensitive cases involving babies born at 23 weeks and above with medical and surgical complications. He established guidelines for consultants, nurses, and pharmacists in the neonatal unit to ensure standardized, evidence-based nutritional practices within the department.

Dr. Jameel brings valuable expertise in managing a Level-3 neonatal unit and has experience in multidisciplinary engagement across various perinatal and pediatric specialties, including neonatal surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, neurosurgery, and ophthalmology. He has participated in several national and international conferences and panel discussions, presenting his research and expert opinions in neonatology.
